I know by the name of the title you espect to read about some boy and his love-hate relationship with this long term friend but ends up falling for and wanting to marry a younger woman which in turns causes a mess with the friend because, lets face it, wedding and drama go hand in hand right?
No, no. This truly is a simple post about the gift I got my best friend before her wedding back in March. It’s also about how you too can get the files needed to create such a gift yourself!
Now, a little back story about the recipient; she has been my friend of thirteen years, since we started junior high together. We have a very long and weighted history. Ups and downs, saddness and absolutely joy. You name it, we had it. So when I began looking for a gift for her I knew it needed to be sentimental. I also knew that it needed to scream beauty, and pretty lovelyness cause thats the kind of woman she is. A stunningly beautiful girl with a flaire for the dramatic and a taste for the lovely things in life.
What I decided on was a series of notes that would mean something to both her and her now husband that they could read together each day the week before their wedding. It began on Monday since she had a Sunday wedding and continued till the morning of. An example of one of the cards was a bible verse that her and her husband could read and find solace in during that last crazy week. I also included a little necklace in one of the days to help remind her how special she was and how lucky of a guy her husband was for marrying her.
She loved it, and thought it was wonderful to be able to open a card each day that related to love. I was just happy that we were able to be there for one another that day.. it meant so much to me. I was the honored one. They are an amazing couple and both my finace and I are so blessed to have them as friends.
